What is WaveNet (Wavelength Services)
Over a Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) fiber-optic infrastructure wavenet gives an individual data channel. Multiple signals of different wavelengths transmit over a single optical fiber in DWDM technique. Using a wavenet technology each customer gets its own dedicated wavelength. FrameNet gives ethernet transport services of layer 2 on a managed network. It enables Layer 2 connectivity by using techniques like VLANs and MAC switching. It resembles a virtual private line service over a carrier Ethernet network. Framenet Layer 2 services are dispensed using Metro Ethernet, EP-LAN, or EVP-LAN structures.
