Why Choose NLR and NLR-RONs as a partner?
What will NLR do to help my group with its FCC proposal?
NLR's Experiments Support Services (ESS) team, via the NLR member, can assist you with your proposal in every phase of the implementation process. Please visit the NLR Support Services page for a detailed explanation of services offered.
What costs will NLR-RONs and NLR charge?
NLR-RON Charges: Winning groups will be responsible for the costs associated with connecting into the RON and any affiliate/connection fee levied by the RON. Each RON sets its own fees. The RON and the winning group will be responsible for any special costs (collocation, cross connects, etc.) needed to link to the NLR backbone which should be minimal.
NLR Charges: NLR will not assess any fees for the basic connection, transport or support services it provides to its members or to their winning groups participating in the FCC-RHCP during the pilot program. For winning groups affiliated with non-NLR RONs and winning groups not affiliated with any RON, there may be a connection fee that covers the actual costs of NLR. If a RON and winning group wishes special resources from NLR they will be provided at NLR member costs.
