NLR IPTransitNet: How it Works
NLR IPTransitNet lets you reach the Internet quickly and efficiently. We provide you with the flexibility to connect your autonomous system (AS) network either to NLR's routed IP network, NLR PacketNet, or directly to the IP backbone of our international carrier partner, TeliaSonera, at literally dozens of access points across the country.
Because NLR and TeliaSonera own and control the AS network backbone, we can enforce a strict capacity management policy, thereby eliminating backbone congestion. Using a strict peering policy we only work with qualified peering partners. This is why you get fast, highly reliable Internet service, regardless of its destination.
Using industry-standard Ethernet and Packet over SONET (PoS) interfaces, we offer Internet connectivity at bandwidths ranging from 2 Mbps to 10 Gbps. The standard line protocol is IPv4 with Cisco HDLC or PPP encapsulation. The standard routing protocol for the service is BGP4.

NLR also offers non-AS number holders global Internet access through the TeliaSonera IP Connect service. Please contact NLR for additional information. info@nlr.net
